Futile as the idiot Bilic will start all his buddies Carroll, Noble and Cresswell.

He says he is but he returned to full training only this week and Bilic will use that as a reason not to start him ahead of Noble or Kouyate.

Obiang is usually the "makeweight" when Kouyate, Noble are fit. Never understood why since he is the best of the three IMO. Anyone know if Pedro was Bilic's purchase or Henry or Sullivans or was he bought in the BFS era? Can't remember now tbh but I know Bilic did not play him in that first season even when we started to concede a lot of goals after Feb 2016.

Agree that we should go with 3 at the back because a 90th minute goal against Swansea did not prove that a back 4 is the answer. But that is Bilic's problem, he purchased players that suit a back four without getting the insurance of a quality central midfielder alongside Obiang ( the Carvalho debacle). Sooner he realises he needs to set up based on the best blend and not the fee value of the purchased player the better. In other words, no place for Ayew and Carroll as starters IMO.

Is Obiang fully fit yet?

I'd like to see a classic 3 5 2 like the days of Sinclair, Kanoute and Di Canio:

----------------------------Hart

-----------Zabaleta---Reid---Fonte

Antonio----Noble------Kouyate-----Cresswell

------------------------Lanzini

---------------Sakho----------Hernandez

I think we're more likely to see 4 5 1

Hart

Zabaleta
Fonte
Reid
Cresswell

Antonio
Kouyate
Lanzini
Noble
Arnautovic

Hernandez

According to The Standard, Bilic might leave Chicharito on the bench after his travels.

ludo
why has rice been dropped like a stone, well it feels like that

I recall Oxford follow up his mom v arsenal with an indifferent game vrs Bournemouth/Leicester and he appeared to be soon bombed out

am I talking bollocks here?

Re: Team for Burnley....
Rice gives us the flexibility to change easily from 3 at the back to 2CBs as he can move between CB and DM and has sufficient poise on the ball to bring the ball out... Bilic should be building the team around him IMO.

Get Rice in there...

Alf
Nobes got pulled last game
I can still see him missing out tbh with Kouyate being the man in the middle
question is will we go with the back 3 though?

Too eary? Biric said that?

Sir Alf 10:27 Thu Oct 12
Re: Team for Burnley....
Bilic already hinting that it is too eary for Obiang to play. How convenient ;-) Noble's inclusion accommodated.

Don't think so, Sniper. Pretty sure it'll be 3 at the back.

Infidel team fine for me, one thing for sure is that Hernandez must be upfront and support from Sakho appears to be the best way of doing this.

Though I do get a semi with the idea of Paolo Zed in a central role (oh yes!)
